The success mantra for cracking any competitive exam is “Understand, Practice and Revise”. Coming to the GATE exam perspective, most of its questions are conceptual and numerical. So one must improve his/her solving abilities and time management to crack it easily.
Keeping this in mind, an ample amount of time is needed for practice and revision. Hence completing the syllabus by early December will be a smart move. As the exam is scheduled on the first week of February around 2 months will be left for practice and revision which includes:
- Solving previous year question papers (To get to know where you stand).
- Taking Mock tests (Improves one’s time management and accuracy).
- Understanding one’s weak areas and concentrating on it. (Involves clearing doubts).
- Revise the topics to recall concepts.
Moreover completing the syllabus ahead of 2 months helps one to gain more confidence in self and have a stress free mindset. Following the above tactics, one can easily sail through GATE and come out with flying colors.
